There's a marked difference between controlling your favorite video game character onscreen and actually holding that same character in the palm of your hand - well, the figure of that character at least. First 4 Figures will be giving fans of Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity and other Sonic-related games a chance to do just that with their upcoming character models. First 4 Figures reportedly announced an agreement with Jetix Consumer Products - managers of the licensing rights of Sonic X animated series - for the rights to produce the four-to-five inch vinyl representations of classic Sonic franchise characters.
First 4 Figures will be previewing their new creations at the upcoming Nuremberg and New York Toy Fairs. The products, however, are scheduled for commercial release sometime around July of this year, and will come in waves. The first wave will include Sonic, Knuckles and Tails.
No information on the prices has been released yet, so stay tuned for further updates.
