New Rune Factory 2 screenshots bloom

Here are some new screenshots of the sequel of Harvest Moon's iteration with RPG elements, Rune Factory 2 for the Nintendo DS. Fans of Marvelous Interactive's series should be delighted to find out that the colorful characters are back, and are set in classic backdrops that put you in the mood to strike monsters down with a shovel.

According to what we previously found out, Rune Factory 2 will still have the monster-catching goodness coupled with the tasks of taking care of your farm and working towards getting a girlfriend. Looking at the map on these scans, we reckon there would be a lot of hacking and slashing to do when you get tired of feeding cows and horses.
