NFL Tour dev videos: what makes it different from other football sims

So what exactly is the difference between EA Sports' NFL Tour from its other football video game series? Well aside from taking a page off the recent arcade style gameplay of the other Electronic Arts sports games, the developers talk about how the different events in the game make it fun to play despite its somewhat simple style.

First off, you'll notice how physical and arcade-like the gameplay is. This reflects with some of the game modes, which include the Smash & Dash and the Red Zone Rush modes. Both events definitely give a new meaning to the word "scrimmage".

The developers also took the time to talk about the game mode where NFL Tour takes its namesake. Tour Mode allows the player to make a customizable character and throw him into the thick of the action by choosing a team and seeing his career through the much sought after championships.
